The Avengers were seriously losing their way as the 1980s dawned, and soon after the colossal clusterfuck that was Avengers #200, there was issue 203. Which is a weird story that seems to deliberately not make any sense (or could just be one of those odd storytelling disasters that results from the Marvel method of producing comics.)
But the things Carmine Infantino, inker Dan Green and colorist Ben Shaun do with the fog effects in this issues is breathtaking. I was never an Infantino fan - too flowing, too loose - but sometimes he could produce something really special.
