Batman has to be fully armoured up in modern comics, and the days where he'd pull on a cloth cowl and head out onto the mean streets of Gotham are long behind him.
But Matt Wagner's Batman is so goddamn solid and dense, even in the spandex, that he doesn't need the armour - his build is his protection, all done to the beefiest of proportions. Just pure meat on bone.
