One of my great disappointments in life is that I have never tasted anything that looked as good as the grub in British kids comics like Buster, Cor!! and Whizzer & Chips.
Rich Christmas pudding looked like a damned delight, giant mince pies that looked like the dream food, shiny fat cupcakes, and, of course, heaping of bangers and mash. No sausage and potato ever tasted so good.
