Greysuit: Higgins brought the pain

Greysuit was a weird series for 2000ad, even with the tried and true talents of creators Pat Mills and John Higgins involved. A nominal reboot of the Mach One concept from the earliest days of the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, it had hyper-powered secret agents bashing up against mass systemic corruption among the nation's elite.

From its simple premise, the comic went to some strange places, with extraordinary villains and a deeply cynical attitude, but one thing you could not deny was Higgins' commitment to showing exactly what happens when a hyper-agumentetd fist meets a human face. There were four volumes of the comic - and unlikely to be any more - but the four volumes we got were filled with some some remarkable gore.
